SemiLink Materials, a subsidiary of Advanced Material Solutions (AMS), is a $20 million state-of-the-art facility in Stevensville, Montana, designed for high-purity semiconductor gas production. The site features the new 14,300 sqft building, a bulk nitrogen system, a fire sprinkler pumphouse, and a chemical waste treatment pad. The campus also includes the Lab Bay research facility, renovated office spaces, and a warehouse outbuilding.
To support this intensive industrial use, infrastructure upgrades include a 30,000-gallon fire sprinkler storage tank, a chemical agent fire sprinkler system to serve areas where trichlorosilane is present, a new sanitary septic system, and a comprehensive chemical waste management system with secondary containment. Because the facility handles water-reactive, pyrophoric, and corrosive chemicals, the MPF building utilizes specialized hazardous occupancy ratings and critical life-safety HVAC systems backed by an emergency generator and fume exhaust system. The interior houses ISO 5 (Class 100) and ISO 6 (Class 1000) cleanroom laboratories for analytical testing and equipment assembly.
The mechanical scope features a dedicated boiler plant for the buildout and independent HVAC controls to maintain material purity through up to 10 air exchanges per hour. The electrical and plumbing design provides full connectivity for process equipment and deionized (DI) water generators. Fire protection is specifically tailored to chemical risks, utilizing a chemical suppression system and an integrated emergency notification network. Every aspect of this facility is engineered to produce high-value materials, some exceeding $200,000 per unit, while fostering high-paying technical jobs within the Montana community.
