This facility includes an all-new, 22,000-square-foot specialty veterinary hospital with an examination area, imaging department, pharmacy, operating suite, isolation suite, and administration area to serve the community of Bozeman, MT, and surrounding communities.
The project infrastructure includes new HVAC, domestic plumbing, medical gas, fire suppression, and electrical systems.
The new domestic water system includes central water softening and a high-efficiency domestic hot-water system with full building recirculation. Water-efficient plumbing fixtures are utilized throughout the facility.
Medical gas systems include central supply and distribution for Oxygen, Medical Vacuum, Instrument Air, and Nitrogen.
The new HVAC system includes chilled-water variable-volume air-handling units, a heating hot-water plant, a chilled-water cooling plant, and a natural gas service. Air handling systems included capacity to handle increased ventilation air, means for increased air filtration, and means of short-wave ultraviolet air cleaning technology for improved indoor air quality. The boiler plant includes high-efficiency boiler modules and an associated variable-speed pumping system with primary-secondary configuration to maximize energy efficiency.
The new electrical system includes a central electrical service, efficient power distribution utilizing 480 volt primary power and stepdown transformers, and a central inverter system to serve egress lighting fixtures. LED lighting is utilized throughout the facility for improved energy efficiency.
