Replacing the aging heating infrastructure at Butte-Silver Bow County Fire Station #1,this project designed installation of a new boiler plant to support 24/7 emergency services operations. The scope includes new boilers, pumps, an expansion tank, an air separator, and an updated boiler feed water package. Engineers determined that the existing chimney could not be utilized for combustion air intake, necessitating a customized venting solution to ensure proper boiler operation. The system also integrates a specialized Skidmore model VNS1000-1 feed water tank to improve hydronic system efficiency and longevity in the historic station.
