The Fort Harrison Wash Bay was developed to provide the National Guard with a dedicated facility for maintaining vehicle and equipment readiness. This $2 million project facilitates the essential cleaning of military tanks, trucks and equipment returning from local range training and prepares vehicles for technical maintenance. The facility contains:
- Enclosed wash bays with water reclamation and year-round washing capabilities
- Climate control and integrated building automation systems
- Fire detection and alarm systems
- Oil and grease interceptors and sediment trapping basins
The facility encompasses approximately 5,000 square feet and features extensive infrastructure improvements, including new access roads, entrance apron pads, and a specialized snowmelt system to enable year-round access. The site design further includes comprehensive storm drainage with curbs and gutters, as well as the extension of critical utility services. ACE scope included mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design scope for the wash bay.
