St. Peter’s Health in Helena, Montana, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new $5 million nephrology and dialysis clinic at the Regional Medical Center.
An open house and ribbon-cutting were held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, to celebrate the new clinic. Construction on the project began in March 2024 and finished in early 2025. The project consisted of an approximately 1,400 sq. ft. renovation and a 4,000 sq. ft. addition to the main hospital to support the new hemodialysis unit. The Dialysis unit will feature ten stations with FGI-required support spaces. Two of the stations will be hospital bed-sized and support negative air capability. A separate Home Dialysis area has also been planned to educate patients on their own home care. Staff and office areas complete this area of the unit. This newly constructed space brings the dialysis team and Nephrology Clinic together under one roof, creating a seamless care experience for patients.
In addition to the above, a separate clinic will be created near the Dialysis unit. This clinic will have two exam rooms, a nurse station, office, storage, restroom, and shared waiting room with the dialysis unit.
The new wing aims to assist patients in rural areas who face challenges traveling to Helena for treatment. At the time of the announcement, the clinic was already serving 40 patients.
