Vacom

Project Overview

Vacom’s strategic expansion into U.S. manufacturing, blending cutting-edge cleanroom production with a thoughtfully engineered 40, 000 square foot production environment that emphasizes sustainability, energy efficiency, and workforce support. ACE provided MEP services designing and coordinating infrastructure systems to support cleanroom operations, renewable energy integration, rigorous HVAC and power requirements, as well as facility support systems for training and childcare amenities.

The Big Spring facility includes precision-grade ISO-6 and ISO-8 cleanrooms, paired with advanced laboratory and smart-manufacturing environments designed for vacuum technology and micro-cleaning operations.  MEP systems are highly integrated, incorporating district energy, solar and wind power, and advanced building envelope design to optimize energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.  The Big Sky facility expansion will also include a dedicated training center, canteen, and daycare/kindergarten facilities are incorporated into the design to support workforce development and well-being.  The Big Spring facility opened in 2025, and subsequent expansion phases plan an additional $35 million investment with 200 direct jobs by 2027, followed by up to $50 million to scale operations to 500 jobs by 2029.
