The proposed project entails a comprehensive expansion and renovation of the existing nursing school facilities to enhance educational capacity, simulation-based training, and administrative support. The project is strategically designed to support the growing demand for healthcare professionals and to align with modern pedagogical approaches in nursing and emergency medical education.
New Construction (17,300 sq. ft.)
Zone 1, Unit F – West Wing Extension:
- Construction of a new atrium to serve as a welcoming and collaborative space for students and faculty.
- Addition of modern office spaces to accommodate administrative staff, faculty, and student advising services.
- Integration of natural lighting and open design concepts to promote wellness and productivity.
- Zone IV, Unit G – Simulation and Skills Training Expansion:
- Development of state-of-the-art Emergency Medical Services (EMS) labs equipped with advanced training tools.
- Installation of high-fidelity simulation labs that replicate real-world clinical scenarios using lifelike mannequins and digital monitoring systems.
- Creation of an ambulance simulation bay, designed to mimic emergency response environments for hands-on paramedic training.
- Construction of a nursing home simulation suite, replicating long-term care settings to train students in geriatric and rehabilitative care.
Interior Renovation (8,380 sq. ft.)
Zone IV, Unit G – Nursing Lab Upgrades:
- Renovation of existing space to create two large, flexible-use nursing labs.
- Labs will be outfitted with hospital-grade equipment, patient beds, and digital charting systems to simulate inpatient care environments.
Enhanced audiovisual systems for real-time observation and feedback during training exercises.
