Renovation of the existing 29,006 sq. ft. Winifred School included Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing renovations for the entire existing school plus three new additions: The West Addition, the Main Level South Addition, and the Upper-Level South Addition. The $40M project was in part thanks to a huge donation from Winifred native Norm Asbjornson, Winifred schools has expanded its opportunities for students and adding a lot more classes in the future with a greenhouse, a welding shop, more trades classes, and many other options as well.
The building is protected by a complete fire sprinkler system. In addition, an addressable fire alarm system was installed throughout. Electrical systems consisted of new service, panels, and distribution. New LED lighting was installed throughout the addition and existing T-8 fixtures were utilized in the existing areas. A new school clock/bell system, intercom, and IT infrastructure, and an ADA Hearing-Assistance System were also installed.
